Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. A summary of common rights is set out below. To exercise these or other rights, please contact us at [insert contact email or web form link].
Such requests should include enough information to allow us to verify your identity (e.g. name, address, email address, or other reasonably required details). Where we receive a request, we will respond without undue delay and within the time required by applicable law. This may be extended in certain circumstances, for example where requests are complex or numerous.
We will provide information free of charge except where requests are manifestly unfounded or excessive (for example, because of their repetitive character). In those circumstances we may charge a reasonable fee or refuse to act on the request. We will inform you of any fee before proceeding. We may also ask for additional information to verify your identity before carrying out a request.
Right to access and/or correct your personal information
You may have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to be provided with a copy of that information (in most circumstances). You may also have the right to correct any information we hold about you that is inaccurate or incomplete.
Right to restrict use of your personal information
You may have the right to ask us to restrict processing of your personal information where:
-
The processing is unlawful but you prefer restriction over deletion;
-
You contest the accuracy of your personal information (restriction applies until we verify or correct it);
-
We no longer require the personal information for processing purposes, but need to keep it in connection with a legal claim;
-
You have exercised your right to object to processing and the restriction applies while we assess whether we have compelling legitimate grounds to continue.
Right to request deletion of your personal information
You may have the right to ask us to delete your personal information in certain circumstances. If you wish to stop receiving marketing communications, the best approach is typically for us to retain your information with a “do not contact” flag so we know not to contact you in future.
There may be exceptions where we cannot comply with a deletion request, for example where the information is required to comply with a legal obligation or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Right to object to processing of your personal information
You may object to our use of your personal information for direct marketing at any time.
You may also object where we rely on legitimate interests for processing. In such cases, we will stop processing your personal information unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for processing that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or where we need to continue processing for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Right to data portability
In many cases, you may have the right to receive personal information you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transmit that data to another controller, where technically feasible.
Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
If you have concerns about how we process your personal information, you may have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (for example, in the country where you live, work, or where an alleged infringement took place).
4. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Transformation Leader is a global-facing organization. We may transfer personal information to other Transformation Leader entities (if any) or to suppliers in other countries.
When we transfer personal information internationally, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that it is protected and that such transfers comply with applicable law. Where required (for example, for transfers from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland), we may rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
Details of the safeguards we use for international transfers can be provided on request.
5. RETENTION PERIODS
We keep your personal information only for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy legal, accounting or reporting requirements.
In general, this means your personal information will be retained for:
-
The duration of our relationship with you (for example, while you have an account, are enrolled in a course, or are part of a community); and
-
Additional periods required by tax, company, and other applicable laws and regulations; and
-
As long as necessary for you to bring a claim against us or for us to defend ourselves against any legal claims, within the applicable statutory limitation periods.
6. CHOICES ABOUT YOUR INFORMATION
We believe it is important to give you choices about the use of your information. We will use your information as described in this Policy (or any service-specific or event-specific privacy notice). If we wish to use your information for a purpose not described here, we will explain that purpose and, where required, obtain your consent.
Marketing Communications
We respect your choices regarding marketing. You can change your marketing preferences at any time by following the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us at [insert contact email].
If you unsubscribe from marketing, we may still send you service-related communications (for example, messages about your account, course access, or important policy changes).
We will not sell your information to third parties for their own direct marketing. We may share your information with our affiliates or carefully selected partners in limited circumstances, as described above, and always in line with applicable law.
Events (including badges and scanning)
At in-person events, we may issue badges and use technology (such as scanning or RFID) to administer attendance and enhance the event experience. We may use this information to:
-
Administer and improve the event;
-
Monitor session attendance and engagement;
-
Where appropriate, understand interest in specific topics or sessions.
We may allow sponsors or partners to scan badges at their booths or sponsored sessions. If you choose to have your badge scanned, you give us permission to share your contact details with that sponsor or partner. Their use of your information will be governed by their own privacy policy.
Badge scanning is optional, and you may refuse to have your badge scanned.

We implement administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to help protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
Despite our efforts, no data transmission over the internet or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized activity.
We make reasonable efforts to restrict access to personal information to only those employees, contractors, and agents who need such access to operate, develop, improve, or deliver our programs, products, and services.
