Chwayita is a seasoned executive and corporate governance leader with over 16 years of experience across ICT, digital infrastructure, development finance, and SOE governance in South Africa’s regulated public sector. A former Executive Officer at USAASA, he oversaw strategic leadership, PFMA governance, and the deployment of a R3 billion Universal Service and Access Fund. With deep expertise in organisational design, entity establishment, board design, and oversight mechanisms, and more than 17 years in leadership roles across banking, financial services, ICT, and multinationals (including Nokia, Microsoft, and MultiChoice), he is skilled at translating strategy into disciplined execution and sustainable growth. He serves as a Non-Executive Director on Audit & Risk, Social & Ethics, and Operations Committees and holds an Executive MBA from Henley Business School, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management, an Advanced Diploma in Project Management, and IoDSA-recognised membership certification.
