Sandra Maripe-Ebutswe

Dr Sandra Maripe-Ebutswe obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University of the Free-State, South Africa in 2006. She began her career in Francistown at Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital where she completed her internship and worked as a Medical Officer at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She is now a Family Physician who believes in Primary Health Care as the core community health matter and is strongly passionate about Health Care issues. She holds her current role as of October 2021 as the Ngami District Health Management Team (DHMT) Coordinator, working under the Ministry of Health. She provides overall supervision and administrative leadership on all patient care in the DHMT. She is a hardworking, highly self-motivated young woman who is willing to try new strategies to improve the health care system of Botswana. She obtained a Master in Family Medicine from the University of Botswana in October 2017, and in 2023 earned a certificate in public health leadership through an International Program in Public Health Leadership (IPPHL) at the Evans School, University of Washington, USA.
